Agfa Graphics and IDEAlliance are partnering once again to offer an intensive three-day G7® training course on digital wide/grand format printing. The G7 Expert/Professional training program is being held at the Agfa/Pitman Digital Imaging Customer Center in City of Industry, CA, (Walnut, CA) from December 1st through the 3rd, 2015.

The training course gives participants G7 certification in the fields of color management, process and quality control for proofing and printing. G7 is IDEAlliance’s industry-leading set of specifications for achieving gray balance and is the driving force for achieving visual similarity across all print processes. The program is ideal for digital and offset press operators, pressroom and prepress supervisors and technicians, quality assurance managers, and printing equipment suppliers and vendors. Participants are certified for two years for any print process.

"Brand marketers are looking for consistent color across all output devices whether wide-format, flexo, or offset. G7 achieves that," said Brian Kirkham, Director, Expert Services, Agfa Graphics, North America. "G7 certification sets PSPs apart and establishes their expertise in color management, process and quality control for proofing and printing."

Leading the program is HutchColor’s Don Hutcheson, the inventor of G7 and an instructor with more than 40 years’ experience in photography, design, prepress, printing and color science. Hutcheson’s methodologies helped create today’s printing and proofing standards.

Developed by IDEAlliance, the G7 Expert/Professional training is a theory-based program that combines lab instruction and lectures that apply the G7 method on both offset and digital presses. The G7 training methodology will be demonstrated across various digital output devices, that may include Agfa Graphics’ Jeti Titan HS and Anapurna 2500i (UV Inkjet), Epson’s SureColor S50 and S70 (Eco-Solvent Inkjet), HP’s L26500 (Latex Inkjet) and HP’s DesignJet Z6200 (Aqueous Inkjet).

The event is being held at the Agfa/Pitman Digital Imaging Customer Center from Tuesday, December 1st and Wednesday the 2nd (8:30am – 5pm) through Thursday the 3rd (8:30am – 4pm) at 21908 East Valley Boulevard City of Industry, CA 91789 (GPS: Walnut, CA).
Registration is required. For more information, pricing and to register, please contact Ms. Illeny Maaza (703-837-1096 or imaaza@idealliance.org) or click here.
