Always striving to make digital apparel printing faster, easier and higher quality, industry leader AnaJet announces the release of pretreated black shirts in a variety of sizes. For busy apparel printers, factory pretreated shirts offer a big time savings and allow for more consistent results due to professional application of the pretreatment solution.
Using pretreated shirts helps assure consistent high quality results and can ultimately result in lower operating costs due to far fewer rejects. Pretreated shirts do not let whites soak into the fabric therefore allowing the white color and any other color application on top of the white to stand out better with just one quick application. Printing on apparel that has been pretreated, particularly darker colored items where pretreating is required, has long been the industry standard to get crisp, bright, professional results every time. With the launch of pretreated shirts, busy garment printers can bypass that entire first step and speed up production while maintaining high product quality.

For years, AnaJet has offered a pretreatment kit and instructions for its customers on how to properly pretreat shirts and other garments to prepare them for optimal printing success. The process, which involves mixing chemicals and maintaining spray gun equipment, can be time consuming and messy. “Customers have always appreciated that we offered free training on the pretreating process and our do-it-yourself kit remains very popular, but many customers have been asking for a pretreated product like this to make life easier and we are happy to deliver it,” said Tod Farmer, VP of Operations at AnaJet.
The shirts just became available in black on the AnaJet website and they are being sold online in bundles of twelve. The standard pretreated shirts come with the pretreated area (15 ½” X 19”) on the front of the shirt. Other locations of pretreatment (back or sleeves), as well as additional colors and sizes can also be custom ordered by phone.
Mr. Farmer expressed, “AnaJet is excited to deliver this big time and cost-saving solution that our apparel printing customers have been looking for.”

AnaJet is also excited to announce the launch of a new lower cost ink called SPECTRUM that is available on the AnaJet website now. For customers currently using mPower printers along with PowerBright Ink, the new SECTRUM Ink is compatible with existing printers and the cartridges are the same size. In fact either PowerBright or SPECTRUM Inks can be switched out without flushing the system before changing over. PowerBright Ink will continue to remain available.
Lastly of important note, AnaJet recently released a firmware 3.0 and AnaRIP 3.0 software update for mPower printers. These updates include new networking features as well as an updated ICC profile for improved ink saturation and smoother gradients.
