Submitting nominee information for the Academy of Screen Printing Technology (ASPT) just got easier thanks to the organization’s updated nomination process. The new submission form, available at www.sgia.org (keyword: ASPT), lists all of the specific contribution information ASPT requires to consider new industry members. Current ASPT members elect new members based on the candidates’ ongoing contributions to advancements in the screen-printing industry. Nominees must be associated with an SGIA member company or affiliated organization and recommended by at least one current ASPT member.

“The new process will make election to the Academy more open, especially to international candidates, and lead to an Academy whose membership will be an even better reflection of the international growth and scope of our industry,” says ASPT chairman Donald Marsden of Ulano Corp. This year’s new members will be inducted during the keynote luncheon at SGIA ’07, which takes place Oct. 24-27 in Orlando, FL. The ASPT is SGIA’s group of experts who promotes technical advancements in the screen-printing industry. For more information about the group, visit www.sgia.org/aspt.
