on

Screen printers always tell me that they can print on anything, and that’s entirely possible.

One thing I’ve noticed lately is that some materials have started flowing into the market. Take bamboo as an example. In the upcoming issue of Screen Printing in the new products section we reviewed a textile fabric made of bamboo that caught my eye. It was colorful, easy to work with, and affordable, according to manufacturer’s write up.

Bamboo is becoming a flooring material for new homes and an upscale soft, heavy but fairly wrinkle-free textile for sheets. I look for it to be the renewable substance for many upscale products in the future, including screen printed wall papers, decorative interior textiles, and more.
