The Expo LD computer-to-screen system from G4 Automation (www.g4automazioni.it) is a vertically oriented stencilmaking system that uses UV blue-laser-diode technology. Laser light is transported via transparent glass fibers from the laser diode to the optical lens system. Expo LD supports imaging resolutions up to 1200 x 2400 dpi. Laser distance is controlled by an auto-focus system, and a separate laser is responsible for the correct positioning of the image onto the coated screen.

Laser configurations include 16, 32, 48, 64, 80, and 96 diodes configuration, depending on required frame size and exposure speed. Laser energy is less than 0.2 W/diode, and exposure-head speed is selectable from 3.3-9.8 ft/sec (1-3 m/sec), depending on selected mesh type and color, stencil material, and/or coating thickness.
