Digital printing professionals from around the world will gather in Geneva, Switzerland in April to learn about the latest offerings in wide-format imaging. The event, FESPA Digital Printing Europe 2008, takes place April 1-3 at the Geneva Palexpo.

The exhibition will feature more than 250 suppliers of wide-format digital products and solutions for a range of markets and applications, including signage, graphics, ceramics, textiles, metals, and wood. FESPA representatives say the event will be at least 30% bigger than the 2006 show and will feature several new product launches, seminars, and networking opportunities. Another highlight of the event will be the Showcase Theatre, a forum that allows attendees to concentrate on new technologies, applications, and opportunities. Industry leaders will discuss various issues and consider the future of large-format printing.

"We're very excited about the Showcase Theatre sessions at this year's exhibition," says Frazer Chesterman, FESPA managing director. "Based on feedback from our community, the sessions are designed to support printers on a range of topical issues of interest to them. The free sessions will feature a number of respected industry professionals covering a wide range of topics aimed at helping visitors understand the opportunities in the digital printing market to help them grow their businesses, provide creative and value-added solutions, and become more profitable."

Showcase Theatre seminar topics will include digital ink applications, achieving flexibility through technology, superwide digital printing, color separation, film and software information, color management, and more. The program also will feature The Digital Debate and The Green Debate, as well as a Q&A session on FESPA's Wide Survey, the pan-European research into the digital wide-format printing marketplace, conducted in association with InfoTrends.
