DuPont Color Communication welcomes new additions to its family of proofing solutions-Cromalin Largo 2406 and Largo 4406 inkjet systems designed to produce contract-quality proofs with DuPont ink and specialty proofing media. The solutions use DuPont’s Cromanet CS RIP and Cromanet CS color-management software. Largo 2406 and Largo 4406 are configured as plug-and-play solutions. When incorporated into print-production workflows, they are said to add substantial value by improving approval cycles, turnaround times, and proof-to-press accuracy. The solutions complement DuPont’s Cromalin AQ-series, IG-series, and b-series drum-based digital proofing systems. The b-series reportedly is the only proofing system in the world with an integrated inline spectrophotometer. Largo 2406 and Largo 4406 use drop-on-demand inkjet technology with roll-fed proofing substrates. Largo 2406 features a 24-in. (610-mm) print width for four-up proofing, print speeds up to 103 sq ft/hr (9.6 sq m/hr), and resolutions up to 2400 x 1200 dpi with a four-picoliter droplet size. Largo 4406 offers print widths between 24 and 44 in. (610 and 1118 mm) for eight-up signatures or wide-format graphics. Print speeds are up to 103 sq ft/hr and resolutions up to 2400 x 1200 dpi with a four-picoliter droplet size.
