The TX1290 from Teckway Technology is a six-color, flatbed, digital printing system designed for decorating cotton-based T-shirts. Garments do not require pre-treatment, and operators can use a heat-transfer press to cure the ink for 30 sec. The TX1290 uses piezo printhead technology and features a print size of 11 x 16 in. (297 x 420 mm), resolutions of 1440 x 720 dpi, and speeds of 25/hr for 8.3 x 11.7-in. (210 x 297-mm) sheets. The printer accepts various files from Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, CorelDRAW, and Macromedia Freehand. The TX1290 uses water-based inks, which are suitable for printing onto T-shirts, pillow cases, cushion covers, and more. A bulk refill bottle system is available.
