Diversity Scholarship Program from 3M

Screen Printing Screen Printing April 2017 Issue

3M has developed a Diversity Scholarship Program, awarding three recipients in 2017. The program is designed to advocate “for the employment of minority groups by installation companies and the implementation of programs that support hiring diverse talent, including veterans,” according to a release.

The inaugural award recipients are Seattle’s Devil Dog Installations; Performance Signs out of Ruckersville, Virginia; and Atlanta’s Sticky Business. After review of the companies’ policies, philosophies, and results, the three were selected to receive a free Advanced Installation course and tools for a designated employee.

Additionally, 3M has partnered with the United Application Standards Group (UASG). UASG will provide hotel accommodations for the scholarship winners during their training in St. Paul, Minnesota.
