Sihl expanded its SureSolv line of media with 3109 SureBet Double-Side Smooth with Blockout 13-oz gloss banner. It’s designed for large-format applications using solvent inks, such as P-O-P, retail advertising, event signage, exhibitions, and sporting events. The 14-mil banner comprises a white vinyl face sheet, polyester fiber scrim, a black vinyl block-out layer, and a white vinyl back sheet laminated together to form what Sihl describes as a smooth, flexible, tear-resistant substrate. The face sheet is calendared PVC, and the scrim fabric inner layer is 250 x 250 denier polyester fiber in 40 x 40 construction. Sihl 3109 can be used for front-lit exterior and interior banners intended to be viewed from both sides. The banner also can be printed on one side to prevent shine-through. Sihl 3109 can be grommeted, welded, sewn, or taped, and is available in 164-ft (50-m) rolls with widths of 39, 54, 72, and 98.4 in. (991, 1372, 1829, and 2499 mm). Sihl, 713 Fenway Ave., Ste.
