After a recession period, the Brazilian economic activity has been gradually recovered, propelled by the high trust of consumers and entrepreneurs of the country. Following an optimistic moment, the textile sector expects production growth in 2019, followed by the textile digital printing sector.

In a perspective of improvement of the retail market and maintenance of the current cost standard, the textile sector expects to improve the margins from this year on. Leaders of entities of the sector foresee an advance of 3% in the production and 7% in the income, according to the Brazilian Textile and Apparel Industry Association – ABIT. However, the textile digital printing sector, appraised in 7.5 billion dollars in the global market will go through, according to the Digital Textile Forecast 2014-2019 of InfoTrends, a growth of around 34% until late 2019. According to Liliane Bortoluci, show director of FuturePrint, a printing technologies fair for silk-screen, sign and textile market, to be held at São Paulo, from July 10th to 13th, at Expo Center Norte – São Paulo/Brazil, the change of the mass production to more customized, colorful and complex printing designs is propelled by importers, brand owners and customers seeking exclusive quality products. “These, along with different operational benefits, such as reduced stocks and just-in-time manufacturing, are the driving force feeding the growth of the digital textile production”, adds the executive. “In a competitive and agile scenario such as the Brazilian one, the way to make a business survive is following the trends and reinventing yourself constantly. The ones working in the industry know that being always attentive to the trend in Brazil and in the world can be an important advantage to help on the decision-making, on the strategies creation and on the implementation of plans to take the innovations into your business. And that’s what we offer at the 2019 FuturePrint: a platform for debating trends, presenting novelties and doing business, contributing to foster the action sectors”, highlights Liliane.
