EFI Launches Optitex 3D Design Illustrator
Plug-in tool allows for sample-free garment design reviews.
EFI has introduced the Optitex 3D Design Illustrator, a plug-in tool which gives designers the ability to validate and customize 3D garments in Adobe Illustrator. The tool creates 3D pattern representation through imported 2D and 3D pattern files or building block libraries into Illustrator. Designers can view 3D garments with accurate proportion and scaling for improved customization of fabric, texture, patterns, and graphic placement without relying on a printed sample, the company reports. The final file can be exported as a picture or 3D file and sent directly for digital or sublimation printing.
