EFI has unveiled the Vutek HS125 Pro, a 126-in. hybrid UV inkjet printer designed for high-volume graphics production. Offering speeds up to 125 boards/hr in production quality mode (85 boards/hr in what is said to be P-O-P level resolution), the machine is the fastest in the Vutek line. It handles flexible or rigid substrates up to 2 in. thick. Resolution is quoted at up to 1000 dpi.

The HS125 Pro features the company’s proprietary UltraFX inline multilayer print technology, designed to enhance visual impact and reduce the appearance of unwanted visual artifacts. It is equipped with eight ink channels, including two white, and the ink delivery system is designed to utilize 100% of the ink for reduced waste. Users can also choose from several variable gloss modes.

The printer is equipped with an automated six-zone vacuum table. Users can take advantage of optional material edge guides for non-flat materials. Media handling options range from ¾- to fully-automated loading and unloading.

Also offered is a Multiqueue feature for multiple job printing. In addition, EFI’s Fiery proServer with Fiery XF Production RIP enables bidirectional communication between software and printer for improved efficiency, job data collection, and integration with the company’s web-to-print and MIS/ERP platforms. The proServer also includes production tools for nesting, tiling, and more, as well as ICC color management features.
