Epson Acquires Robustelli

Epson has acquired Robustelli, an Italian manufacturer of the Monna Lisa digital textile printer series. The two companies have partnered in the development of the Monna Lisa since 2003 and plan to continue joint research and development efforts with the goal of expanding textile printer offerings, according to a release.

“As the market for high-quality digital textile printing expands, I believe that formalizing our partnership with Robustelli in this way puts us in a great place to meet the needs of the growing numbers of customers who are seeking to leverage the advantages of advanced digital solutions that will help drive their businesses forward,” says Sunao Murata, chief operational officer of Epson’s Professional Printing Operations Division and newly appointed president of Robustelli.
