Epson Unveils Purpose-Built DTFilm Print System

(PRESS RELEASE) FRANKLIN LAKES, NJ — Based on extensive feedback from garment decorators, Epson introduced a new, purpose-built Roll-to-Roll DTFilm print system at Printing United EXPO 2024 in Las Vegas. This innovative printer was designed to meet the specific needs of decorators and offers several key features:

  • Confident Unattended Printing: The upcoming DTFilm printer integrates proven automated maintenance systems, ensuring consistent, reliable output day after day.
  • Minimal Maintenance: Designed for ease of use, it requires only a few minutes of maintenance once a week, saving time and reducing frustration.
  • Increased Output: With a generous 35-inch print width, users can produce more prints between roll changes, maximizing productivity.

The Epson Roll-to-Roll DTFilm printer is expected to ship in 2025.

Epson selected Equipment Zone as the exclusive preview partner for this system, recognizing their deep expertise in DTFilm printing and a longstanding, successful partnership. The Epson Roll-to-Roll DTFilm printer was demonstrated in conjunction with the EZ-JET PRO 32 Powder/Shaker/Dryer, creating a powerful combination of technologies that impressed attendees.

Epson’s team was particularly struck by the advanced engineering and increased capacity of the EZ-JET PRO 32, which perfectly complements the capabilities of the DTFilm printer. Key highlights of the EZ-JET PRO 32 include:

  • Supports up to 32-inch-wide film with a high-capacity powder system.
  • Features a built-in, two-layer filtration system with replaceable filters.
  • Incorporates a unique media feed system, designed to ensure proper alignment and tensioning of the film.
