Esko Launches Digital Cutter for Corrugated Stock

MultiZone feature allows for nonstop production.

Esko has announced the Kongsberg C66 digital cutter, designed specifically for corrugated applications. The C66 has a cutting speed of 66 in./sec and can accommodate heavy-duty rigid materials such as corrugated cartons, as well as offer an alternative to conventional diecutting for corrugated packaging and displays. The machine can cut individual sheets as large as 98 x 189 in.; a MultiZone feature splits the table into multiple smaller zones, enabling operators to clear finished sheets and load new ones while another is being cut, allowing for continuous operation. The C66 is driven by Esko’s i-Cut Production Console, with such features as camera control, machine setup, tool recognition, calibration, tool adjustments, and Device Manager, which allows production to be monitored remotely. A variety of optional tool units is available.
