Fiery issued a statement that Epson announced that it has signed an agreement with Fiery’s ownership to acquire Fiery in a transaction that will ensure Fiery is best positioned to scale, drive innovation and continue delivering cutting-edge solutions to its customers, while also maintaining our independence in key areas — according to the statement from Fiery.

The deal has been signed. Fiery is working closely with Epson and its advisors to complete the transaction, which is expected to close within 2024, subject to customary closing conditions including required regulatory approvals, per the Fiery statement.

“Fiery is a natural fit with Epson’s long-term business goals, as we are the leader in developing DFEs and workflow software across a wide variety of print market segments, reads a portion of the statement from Fiery. “By joining Epson, Fiery will be better positioned to scale, drive innovation, and continue delivering cutting-edge solutions to our customers.”

Following the completion of the transaction, Fiery will continue to operate as an independent provider of DFEs and workflow solutions for OEM partners. No layoffs or restructuring is anticipated.
