The new QF2024 Quartz Flash from Progressive Screen Printing Machines enables users to set the flash to fit the size of the printed image, a feature Progressive says reduces energy costs. The flash-cure unit, which is available in three versions, has three independent heat zones, each measuring 20 x 8 in. (508 x 203 mm), so it can be set to match small, medium, and large print areas. Forced air travels across the bulbs during operation in order to decrease flash and cooling times. A photo sensor and timer allow the QF2024’s use with most manual and automatic presses, and its Plug & Go feature synchs the unit to Progressive’s Falcon automatic press. An optional foot pedal also is available for those who wish to use the QF2024 with a manual press.
