Graphtec America expanded its family of cutting plotters with the addition of the FC2250 Series. They feature ARMS (Advanced Registration Marks System), which is designed to compensate for media misalignment, material expansion/contraction, and media shifting that occurs during printing and lamination. The FC2250 plotters support maximum cutting speeds of 16 in./sec (406 mm/sec) and 20- to 1000-g selectable cutting forces. The control panel features a 20-digit, two-line illuminated LCD menu and icon-labeled buttons. Instant recall of pre-programmed setup conditions is possible. The FC2250 is compatible with various signmaking, CAD, and design/illustration software. Each cutting plotter comes with Graphtec’s Cutting Master plug-in software for Adobe Illustrator and CorelDRAW, a standard floor stand, second penholder, one blade holder, and an assortment of blades. The plotters come in six different configurations, and each type has a different table size and hold-down method. Optional features include creasing tools for cardboard and corrugated cardboard, cutter plunger, and cutter blade for thick material. Graphtec America, Inc., 1251 E.
