Gandinnovations says it designed the 1224 NanoJet2 Flatbed to help customers gain a true balance of speed and quality that is unrivaled by any other flatbed on the market. The printer uses 20 fourth-generation Ricoh grayscale piezoelectric printheads that are engineered to jet variable dot sizes of 8-30 pl. The NanoJet2 is equipped with 4 x 8-ft (1.2 x 2.4-m) linear printing tables, a vacuum bed that secures substrates up to 2 in. (51 mm) thick and uses four-color inks (CMYK) and on-demand white printing. GUV UV ink also is available and reportedly produces sharp and vibrant images with complementary background colors, all in the same printing pass. The NanoJet2 can be used to print glass, acrylics, aluminum, wood, steel, corrugated plastic, foam board, and more.
