Looking for a screen press that’s built for technical applications? Thieme says it developed a special version of its Series 1000 and 3000 flatbeds for that purpose. The presses are now available with an optional camera-controlled print-stock-positioning system that automatically corrects deviations of 0.004 in. (0.10 mm) within one sec. It uses two CCD cameras fixed on a housing over the print table that can be set for different print formats on a linear guide. The camera system supports maximum resolution of 0.50 pixel (0.015 mm). The print table consists of a frame on which three stepper motors are mounted. The special version of the 1000 and 3000 is available in three formats: 29.5 x 21.7, 41.3 x 29.5, and 55.1 x 39.4 in. (750 mm x 550 mm, 1050 mm x 750 mm, 1400 mm x 1000 mm). It includes a computer with monitor for the operation of the camera system.
