Inca says it based the new Spyder V flatbed UV inkjet printer on the original Spyder but gave it a unique, Inca-designed printhead array to achieve a higher throughput than other Spyder 320 printers. Spyder V supports prints speed up to 1399 sq ft/hr (130 sq m/hr), has a print area of 126 x 63 in. (3200 x 1600 mm), and can handle substrates as thick as 1.18 in. (30 mm). The Spyder V comes standard as a four-color system, but a six-color version is also available with the option of using Fujifilm Sericol’s Uvijet Ultratone color system. Inca says Spyder V’s 25-pl drop size, combined with proprietary print-module technology, delivers precise ink-drop placement and producing the excellent print quality for which Inca is renowned. The company also notes that the system’s white-ink opacity makes it a highly adaptable solution for the production of displays and graphics that will be viewed close up. The Spyder V is sold into the US screen-printing market by FUJIFILM Sericol USA Inc., 1101 W. Cambridge Dr., Kansas City, KS 66103, 913-342-4060, fax: 913-342-4761, Web: www.fujifilmsericol.com.
