Fujifilm Graphic Systems USA, Inc. recently introduced the Acuity Advance wide-format flatbed UV inkjet printer. The new Acuity Advance is the next generation of the Acuity HD2504, which was launched in April 2007. The Advance model incorporates a modified printhead array designed to provide up to 40% faster printing speeds than the HD2504. In production mode the print speed is up to 237 sq ft/hr (22 sq m/hr) and in high-quality mode up to 161 sq ft/hr (15 sq m/hr). The Acuity Advance also offers a white ink option. It uses Fujifilm Sericol Uvijet UV inks and supports a print area of 49 x 98 in. (1245 x 2489 mm) and prints onto substrates as thick as 1.98 in. (48 mm).
