Canon Solutions America (www.csa.canon.com) recently debuted four Océ Arizona 600 Series flatbed UV inkjet printers. CSA’s Océ Arizona 640 GT features four independent ink channels, CMYK printing, and standard table size; the Océ Arizona 640 XT features four independent ink channels, CMYK printing, and large-format table size; the Océ Arizona 660 GT features six independent ink channels, multiple print configurations, and standard table size; and the Océ Arizona 660 XT features six independent ink channels, multiple print configurations, and large-format table size. According to CSA, channels five and six can be configured to enhance print speed by adding extra cyan and magenta nozzle capacity; white and varnish channels can be added for specialty applications; and double-opacity white, via use of the sixth channel when varnish isn’t in use, can be used to boost opacity in a variety of industrial applications. opacity in a single printing pass for higher productivity when printing white ink jobs on non-white media or objects. This is particularly beneficial for printing on unusual media and for industrial applications.
