FLEXcon Announces Contest Winners

FLEXcon Co., Inc., Spencer, MA, announced the winners of its 2005 Awards for Innovation contest, which celebrates the most innovative uses of pressure-sensitive film by FLEXcon customers. McDowell Label, Plano, TX, received the Most Innovative award for its suede-textured label for a tanning-product squeeze bottle. York Label, York, PA, claimed the Consumable Products award for its resealable label with high-end graphics. The winner of the Durable Products (Printed) category was Esselte DYMO, Sint Niklaas, Belgium, for its wire label that can be printed, self-laminated, and adhered in the field. Screenprint/Dow, Wilmington, MA, took top honors in the Durable Products (Non-Printed) category for its multi-layered solution for a surgical light keyboard assembly. Albert Basse Associates, received the Promotional Advertising award for its lightweight retail store display unit that used a polyester label in place of an aluminum plate. Quinco and Co., Magog, Quebec, Canada, took home an award in the Cutting Edge category, which is judged by FLEXcon executives and allows customers to enter product applications where details will remain confidential.
