(PRESS RELEASE) Grimco Inc. (St. Louis) is expected to close its acquisition of Graphic Solutions Group (GSG; Dallas) on Jan. 1, according to a press release.

A leading supplier in the sign, digital printing and apparel decorating industries, GSG will operate as a separate company for nine months to a year following the acquisition. GSG customers will be able to continue placing orders by phone, online or in person. GSG will eventually integrate fully into Grimco, in a merger that combines GSG’s strong apparel decorating expertise with Grimco’s expansive resources.

“We believe Grimco is the perfect partner to ensure that our customers continue to receive the products and services they’ve come to rely on,” GSG CEO Mark Granberry is quoted in the release. “Knowing that Grimco has always respected GSG as a competitor, and their commitment to the industries we serve makes them an ideal choice to carry forward our legacy.”

“GSG has been one of our top competitors and a company we’ve always admired for their quality service and industry expertise,” Grimco CEO Keith Pittillo is also quoted in the release. “Their strong market presence in the apparel decorating sector made this an exciting opportunity for us as we look to grow Grimco’s footprint in that space. Combining our strengths allows us to better serve customers in this growing market.”
