Hirsch Int’l, Hauppauge, NY, now offers Kornit’s Wetting Solution, designed to completely evaporate during the curing process and eliminate the residue that makes a garment feel stiff. It can be used with light and dark garments. The pretreatment combines wetting adhesives with water to prepares garment surfaces to accept Kornit’s textile inks and chemically bind the ink to the garment’s fibers. The solution is automatically applied inside the machine as part of the printing process.

The solution has been approved by Oeko-Tex, an association that scientifically evaluates the ecological safety of chemicals used on textiles. The Oeko-Tex Standard 100 is a globally uniform testing and certification system for textile raw materials at all stages of production.
