IDTechEx Launches Stretchable Electronics Report

IDTechEx has compiled the "Stretchable and Conformal Electronics 2017-2027" report on the market, which it predicts will reach more than $600 million by 2027. The report assesses more than 32 product areas, analyzing more than 16 stretchable materials and compiling research from more than 87 companies and 25 research institutes.

"The electronic industry is in the midst of a major paradigm shift," the company states in a release. "Novel form factors are emerging, ranging from limited flexibility to ultra-elastic and conformable electronics. This transfiguration has been in the making for more than a decade, but it is only now that it is beginning to make a substantial commercial impact."
