Impression Expo 2020 Pet Rescue Fundraiser – A Success!

At the recent Impressions Long Beach Expo 2020, International Coatings showcased new display samples featuring the mosaic art of Jolino Beserra. When International Coatings initially approached Mr. Beserra with the idea of holding a Meet & Greet at the show and tie in a charity drive featuring shirts printed with one of Mr. Beserra’s original designs, he enthusiastically agreed.  
 
The Beserra household has a long history of mixing “art and dogs.” For nearly 40 years they have been taking in and caring for street dogs. Currently, they support a ‘six-pack’, ranging from a 4-pound Weeniehuahua named Jane Ear to a 75-pound Lab/Setter mix named T-Bone. 
 
For the charity drive, Mr. Beserra created a one-of-a-kind mosaic animal rescue design that International Coatings transposed and printed onto T-shirts. The inks used on the print included International Coatings’ new FX Gel Gloss Clear™ to highlight part of the design. Cotton Heritage graciously donated 300 of their premium ring-spun cotton shirts to the cause. 
 
During the Meet & Greets at International Coatings’ Impressions Expo show booth, Mr. Beserra signed the T-shirts for any donors who came by. Through the generous response of the show attendees, over $500 in donations was collected. Mr. Beserra was thrilled with the response to the charity drive and will donate these initial proceeds to Old Friends Senior Dog Sanctuary (https://ofsds.org/ ).

Mr. Beserra hopes to raise additional funds to support two additional pet rescue organizations – Harley’s Dream (https://harleysdream.org/) whose mission is to end puppy mills, and Flying Fur (https://flyingfuranimalrescue.org/), a non-profit dedicated to saving animals from kill shelters and euthanization.
