Inkcups Helix Digital Cylinder Printer Upgrade
Transparent Pin Curing reportedly eliminates needs for UV-blocking agents.
Inkcups has announced Transparent Pin Curing for Helix digital cylinder printers. The feature enables UV inkjet printing on clear cylindrical items without adding a UV-blocking agent into the vessel, which is traditionally required to block UV light from curing the ink and damaging the printheads, according to the company. Transparent Pin Curing, available as a field-upgradeable retrofit for existing Helix printers or on new Helix presses, is designed to streamline the production process and allow users to image clear products such as plastic bottles, glassware, and wine and spirit bottles with the inside of the container remaining uncontaminated and sterile.
