International Coatings Hybrid Digital Ink System
Three-component process for hybrid garment printing.
International Coatings has released the HBD Digital System for hybrid digital print applications combining a screen-printed underbase with digitally printed imagery. The three-component process leverages HDB primer coat for either cotton or hard-to-print synthetics, followed by the HDB Synthesis Receiver Base (part A and B), and an HDB Optimum Clear for sharper resolution and improved color and wash fastness, the company reports. The HBD Digital System does not require flashing, as the digital ink is printed wet-on-wet on the underbase. The company reports the system supports light and dark garments; the low-bleed system is compatible with polyester, synthetic, and performance fabric.
