IPC: Demand Strong for Printed Circuit Boards

IPC – Association Connecting Electronics Industries has released its from its monthly American Printed Circuit Board Statistical Program. The study revealed that the book-to-bill ratio had increased to 1.09 – “a good indicator of sales growth in the second half of this year,” says Sharon Starr, director of market research.

While shipments and orders were down from the month of June, Starr indicated that these are typical seasonal patterns. The year-to-date shipment growth remained at -0.3, a consequence of negative growth rates from earlier in 2015; but the year-to-date order growth rate rose to 3.9 percent.
