JERZEES joined eCorporate Solutions and Medalist Sports in raising more than $4800 for cancer research. The funds came from proceeds generated by a T-shirt design contest with children from Camp Sunshine, Decatur, GA. Camp Sunshine provides summer camp and year-round programs for almost 700 families that have children suffering from cancer.

The design contest’s theme was competitive cycling and the state of Georgia. JERZEES donated and screen printed 1000 shirts. The printed T-shirts were then sold at the six-day Tour de Georgia race, which covered more than 600 miles. Seven-year-old Keegan Puckett, who is battling leukemia, drew the winning design. His artwork depicted two people on bicycles—one wearing all yellow as a tribute to cycling champ and cancer survivor Lance Armstrong—riding through the mountains during sunset. It became the official youth shirt of the Tour de Georgia, and Keegan was asked to autograph shirts during the race.

JERZEES says its Kids Program will continue to raise proceeds throughout the year via sales of the T-shirts through Websites operated by eCorporate Solutions (www.ecorporatesolutions.com) and Tour de Georgia (www.tourdegeorgia.com). A donation of $10 is made to Camp Sunshine for each $15 shirt sold.
