“It’s such an honor to be chosen as the King of the Wrap World. We worked so hard on Psycho Hurricane and are thrilled to be recognized as the winner,” said Kempf. “The car has been seen all over the world and has been on the cover of magazines, but being crowned the ultimate winner and King of the Wrap World is one of the industry’s highest honors.”

Kempf used Avery Dennison Conform Chrome Silver and Black in addition to DOL 1370 luster overlaminate and HV 1200 black reflective film to complete his entry in the Challenge. The vinyl car wrap design also garnered attention at the goldRush Rally 7, which visited seven cities from San Diego to Miami in June.

Kempf won the King of the Wrap World prize package that includes a three-night stay in Las Vegas to attend the SEMA show, an Avery Dennison Wrap Class of his choice, Wrap Like a King swag, a meet and greet autograph signing with Ryan Friedlinghaus from West Coast Customs™. In addition, he will receive a $1,000 cash prize, a King of the Wrap World trophy, and almost $1,000 worth of marketing support from Avery Dennison including Facebook® ads, exposure on the Avery Dennison Graphics Solutions website, and a print ad in a trade show publication. The prize package is valued at almost $5,000.

A panel of seven industry judges chose the King of the Wrap World as well as regional kings from the West, Midwest, East, South, Canada and Europe regions. The 2015 Challenge judges included Ryan Friedlinghaus, Eric Ide, Markus-Marcel Knoch, Myles Kovacs, Justin Pate, Adrian Rope, and Molly Waters.

“Psycho Hurricane exceeded our expectations and wholeheartedly deserves the 2015 King of the Wrap World crown,” said Adrian Rope, Wrap Like a King judge and founder and managing director of Totally Dynamic, one of the UK’s best known vehicle wrapping companies. “Kempf’s use of Avery Dennison car wrap film was creative and extremely unique. He is a great representation of the talent and skill all installers should strive for.”

The judges evaluated 173 total submissions based on criteria of visual transformation (difference between the before and after pictures submitted), quality and skill level of installation, overall public look and appeal, and uniqueness of the design.

“This year, installers had to compete at an international level, and Kempf really brought his best work to the competition,” said Roxanne McSpadden, North America marketing director at Avery Dennison Graphics Solutions. “All of the entries showcased the amazing transformation a car wrap installer can achieve with Avery Dennison products, and Kempf was no exception.”
