Konica Minolta Sensing Americas, Inc. (KMSA), a leader in the industrial measurement of color, light and 3D shape, announces their participation at this year’s Graph Expo 2012 alongside sister company Konica Minolta Business Solutions U.S.A., Inc. with Color Care Suite 2.2 and FD-5BT Spectrodensitometer.

Partnering with Konica Minolta Business Solutions U.S.A., Inc. (Konica Minolta), a provider of advanced imaging and networking technologies for the desktop to the print shop, today announced the newest version of the Konica Minolta Color Care Suite 2.2, an efficient software application package to define, achieve and maintain product-specific quality standards for the award-winning series of bizhub PRESS Color Digital Presses. Using the Color Care Suite in combination with the Konica Minolta Sensing FD-5BT Spectrodensitometer, graphic arts professions will be able to define and ensure the correct color output every time.

The FD-5BT Spectrodensitometer is the first M1-type instrument utilizing Konica Minolta’s original Virtual Fluorescence Standard (VFS), it provides measurements corresponding to D50. By combining the Color Care software with FD-5BT, customers can easily conform to the upcoming digital production printing standards.

"This joint effort over the last 2 years between 2 divisions of Konica Minolta offers a unique and unmatched solution in the industry. Utilizing advanced color measurement hardware by Konica Minolta Sensing and cutting edge digital print technology by Konica Minolta Business, we are able to offer unprecedented color output for the graphic arts market. The Color Care 2.2 and FD-5BT bundle ensures that this is a solution not only for today, but also for tomorrow by inclusion of the M1 standard and G7 conformance," said Russell Doucette Business Unit Manager for Konica Minolta Sensing and G7 Certified Expert.

Konica Minolta Sensing’s Russell Doucette will also be speaking as part of IdeAlliance’s Printing Standards Form as a panel speaker and also as a host to a Learning Lab session.
