EFI, Fisher Textiles, and Quaker Chroma Imaging recently joined forces to raise awareness for and increase participation in the Komen Race for the Cure, held in Philadelphia, PA on May 13, 2007. EFI is a manufacturer of print servers, wide-format printers, inks, and print-management solutions. Fisher Textiles produces fabric substrates for digital printing. Quaker Chroma offers a variety of digital-imaging services.

Craig Tinkelman, CEO of Quaker Chroma Imaging, says more than 120,000 people showed up for the race, which generates significant funds for breast-cancer research. “We’re pleased that we were able to support the event with banners and signage, and grateful to out partners, EFI and Fisher Textiles, for their generous donations that made it possible for us to produce 50 outdoor banners for placement in the Philadelphia City Center.”

Quaker Chroma printed the graphics for the event on its VUTEk FabriVu. EFI donated the inks. “When EFI was approached about contributing the inks required to produce the street signage promoting the race in Philadelphia, we were pleased to be able to team with Quaker Chroma Imaging to help make this important fundraising event a success,” says Chuck Dourlet, vice president of marketing for EFI VUTEk.
