Midwest Sign and Screen Printing Supply Co., St. Paul, MN, says its first Bill Anderson Charity Classic was a great success. The event, held in memory of Bill Anderson (former owner of Midwest), who passed away last summer, took place on June 20 at Southview Country Club, St. Paul, MN.

A total of 138 golfers participated, plus an additional 60 people took part in the dinner and program. Attendees came from all over the country and represented manufacturers, customers, and relatives/friends of the Anderson family. More than $55,000 was raised for PanCAN and HealthEast Hospice. The monies were raised from sponsorships, flat donations, and those who attended the golf tournament and dinner. Other money-raising activities during the event included the sale of mulligans, a putting contest, and a target hole during the tournament. Raffle tickets also were sold for a chance to win one of several donated gifts, such as sports memorabilia and a 17-in. flat-screen television.

The dinner featured a welcome from Midwest CEO Nancy J. Peterson Anderson, followed by two keynote speakers: Beth Behrens Spottiswoode (HealthEast Hospice) and Toni Dachis (PanCAN and Team Hope Minnesota). The 2006 tournament is scheduled for June 19 at Southview Country Club, St. Paul, MN. For more information, contact Lynne Berg at 800-328-6592 or visit www.midwestsign.com.
