More than 100 golfers across the country gathered at the Southview Country Club in St. Paul, MN on June 18 to participate in the third annual Bill Anderson Charity Classic. The tournament is held in honor of Midwest’s late president, Bill Anderson, who passed away on July 18, 2004 from pancreatic cancer. Proceeds from the golf outing were donated to CaringBridge, an organization that helps families and friends stay connected during times of need, and PanCAN, which is dedicated to the fight against pancreatic cancer. The tournament has raised more money every year, with proceeds from this year’s tournament surpassing $60,000.

The event included an afternoon of golf, an evening meal, speeches from Midwest’s CEO Nancy Anderson and CaringBridge founder Sona Mehring, an auction, drawing, and an awards ceremony. The tournament was made possible by 3M, Gerber, Midwest Sign and Screen Printing, as well as many Eagle, Birdie, and Hole sponsorships. Midwest Sign and Screen is located at 45 E. Maryland Ave., St. Paul, MN 55117-4610, 651-489-9999, fax: 651-489-0101, Web: www.midwestsign.com.
