Military, Aerospace Hold Most Potential for PCBs

IPC has released its newest report, “2016 Analysis and Forecast for the North American PCB Industry.” IPC’s findings are based on annual survey results, as well as forecasts from industry analyst Hayao Nakahara.

The data reveals that the military and aerospace market for printed circuit boards (PCBs) represents one third of the North American PCB market. It is also the only vertical expected to grow in 2016.

The report also indicates that flexible circuit market growth has continued to outpace rigid PCB growth, although rigid market growth has returned to slightly positive figures after a negative dip in 2014.
