Mimaki’s new TS500P-3200 is a superwide dye-sublimation printer designed for oversized textile applications such as home furnishings, hospitality fabrics, and soft signage. The machine prints up to 129 in. wide; for comparison, a king-size bedspread measures 120 x 120 in. The TS500P-3200 is engineered with 12 high-gap printheads in three staggered rows; the head gap design works to eliminate the risk of media wrinkling and consequent head strikes.

In addition, an automated media handling system applies calibrated tension to reduce media telescoping, buckling, or creasing on rolls weighing up to 286 lbs.

Print speeds can reach up to 1937 sq ft/hr (4-color mode); a 6-color configuration (CMYKcm) is also available. Additional features include variable droplet sizes; Mimaki Advanced Pass System 4 to reduce banding, uneven ink drying, and bidirectional stripes; a Nozzle Check Unit and Recovery System; and a 3-L bulk-ink system with a degassing module.

RasterLink6 RIP software is included; the company’s TxLink3 textile RIP software is optional.
