Mimaki Launches Upgraded Textile Printers

Higher resolution, quality enhancements among new features.

Mimaki has introduced the Tiger-1800B MkII digital textile printer, available in direct-to-textile and transfer sublimation models with max. print speeds of 4144 sq ft/hr. Both models offer a higher-resolution 1200-dpi print mode that was not available on their predecessor, the Tiger-1800B. Several Mimaki core technologies have also been added to the Tiger-1800B MkII, including Mimaki Advance Pass System (MAPS), which incorporates an advanced algorithm to reduce visible banding and uneven color printing, as well as the company’s Nozzle Check Unit and Nozzle Recovery System. A line of optional devices are available to complement the printer, including a feeding unit equipped with a centering device and tension bar; a jumbo roll unit for fabric or heat transfer paper; and drying, winding, and pleating options.
