The CJV300 Series, available in two sizes (the 54-in. CJV300-130 and the 64-in. CJV300-160), has staggered-array printheads with up to eight color channels. Production speeds for the variable-drop machines are up to 1140 sq ft/hr (2xCMYK mode).

Advanced cutting functions include continuous registration-mark detection to enable entire rolls of media to be cut without interruption and over-cut/corner-cut capabilities to produce well-defined edges. CJV300 devices also offer a cut-and-print mode, cutting the media prior to printing to reduce problems associated with post-print cutting of thin materials. Among the 10 SS21 eco-solvent colors for the machine is a new silver formulation with a 50% improvement on refraction over the previous silver, according to the company. The RasterLink6 RIP included with the printer offers a swatch palette of 648 metallic colors. Mimaki’s Bulk Ink System 3, which features 2-liter ink packs for all colors except white and silver (220-ml cartridge only), is also standard.
