A family-owned company, Modernistic’s strong creative vision, collaborative spirit, and passion for exceeding customer expectations has allowed them to maintain a command of the décor, graphic and OEM industries for eight decades.

Eighty years in business is a significant milestone for any company, especially one that is family-run. In fact, according to a survey conducted by Family Business Institute, only 30% of family businesses last into a second generation and only 12% remain viable into a third. Modernistic was established in 1938 by Cliff A. Schulte, and continues to be a family owned and operated company led by his grandsons Jim and Scott Schulte. Originally a trade shop serving the die cutting needs of various industries, Modernistic grew into a graphic producer specializing in screen printing, digital printing, die cutting, and plastic fabricating.

"Reaching this monumental anniversary in our company’s history is a true testament to our employees,” says Scott Schulte, Co-CEO. “Over the years, we’ve had an incredible team that has worked to make this company what it is today. We are very proud of our accomplishments over the last 80 years and so thankful for our long-standing customers. Our philosophy is one of quality, advanced technology, customer satisfaction and business integrity – a philosophy Modernistic continues to hold today to ensure a long and bright future for the company.”
