M&R has introduced the DigiTone halftone filter for its line of DTG printers, designed to more closely simulate screen-printed images for shops that use their DTG machines to do prepress testing prior to screen printing a job. DigiTone uses a simulated halftone technology that is different than dithering (the standard setting for most DTG printing) that allows printers and their customers to make alterations quickly before the job goes into production.

Printers can also use the DigiTone option to simulate screen printed effects with their DTG devices. The operator can choose the dot size and angle for the halftone pattern. DigiTone is available on all new M-Link and M-Link X models.
