M&R has revealed the EZPrep Pretreatment System for direct-to-garment printing. The system automates garment pretreating with the goal of improving consistency and production time while also reducing waste. EZPrep features a touch screen with adjustable settings such as coverage area and dosage; operators can store and retrieve frequently used settings. Users can also choose to apply pretreatment on the inward and outward scans of the spray carriage.

The system is built with four removable stainless steel nozzles that can be turned on or off in any combination. It is programmed to return to the “home” position after spraying the designated area, saving time when treating garments with smaller image areas.

EZPrep features separate reservoirs for pretreatment solution and water; users select a button on the touch screen for the cleaning mode and water flows through the spray nozzles. Maintenance can also be programmed at regular intervals.
