With dual staggered printheads, the new 64-in. ValueJet 1638X is the fastest machine in Mutoh America’s (www.mutoh.com) line of ValueJet eco-solvent inkjet printers.

The 1638X offers a choice of 10 print modes ranging from 360-1440 dpi, with a maximum print speed of 1012 sq ft/hr. The machine uses an Intelligent Interweave feature to minimize banding and can print in CMYKx2 or CMYKLcLmLk color schemes using 220- or 440-ml cartridges. An optional bulk-ink adapter enables 1-l bags of ink to be used, reportedly saving up to 27% in ink costs.
