Gerber Scientific Products, Inc., South Windsor, CT, says new materials have been profiled, tested, and approved for use with the Gerber Solara UV2 hybrid inkjet printer. Gerber worked with Hatfield, PA-based Laminators Inc. and Fletcher-Terry, Farmington, CT on the profiling and testing of the products.

Approved materials from Laminators Inc. include Omega-Bond aluminum composite panel with a solid polyethylene core, Omega SignBoard single-sided sign panel, and Alumalite aluminum composite panel with a high-density, corrugated polyallomre core. Fletcher’s FSC (Fletcher Substrate Cutter) finishing solution is the recommended cutting device for the rigid substrates from Laminators Inc. and is designed to provide clean, straight, accurate, and debris-free cuts on rigid materials up to 0.5-in.
