New WFX Conference Aimed at Wide-Format Industry Executives

REGISTRATION HAS OPENED for WFX: Wide-Format Exchange, a new conference produced by SGIA and ST Media Group (publishers of Screen Printing, Big Picture, and Signs of the Times) that will be held May 21-23 at the Renaissance Minneapolis Hotel, The Depot. Designed as an executive forum for high-volume producers of wide-format graphics, WFX will feature more than 30 educational sessions, networking events, and interactive discussions to explore different strategies businesses can take to make the most of the convergence of markets and technology in the wide-format printing industry.

Opening keynote speaker Ryan Estis will present “Managing Breakthrough Performance in the New Economy.” Estis will encourage participants to challenge conventional leadership practices and embrace progressive techniques and technologies to transform businesses in an increasingly competitive and connected environment. As a former chief strategy officer for the McCann Worldgroup advertising agency NAS, Estis has more than 20 years’ experience as a top-performing sales management professional, marketing strategist, and brand consultant.

Another keynote session will feature “The WFX Buyers’ Panel,” a chance for attendees to learn how print providers can better serve the needs of major clients in an interactive discussion featuring three top brand owners. The panel will feature Kevin Manion, VP branded environment leader for Wells Fargo, Harry C. Steen, creative director for Supervalu, and a third panelist to be named.

The closing keynote will feature venture capitalist and entrepreneur Anthony Tjan, whose theme will be “The Only Leadership Decision that Really Matters.” Tjan will show that when we invest in employee relationships, we create enduring cultures that people believe in and valuable organizations that do more than just maximize profits.
