NPES Rebrands as Association for Print Technologies

NPES, the Association for Suppliers of Printing, Publishing, and Converting Technologies, has rebranded as the Association for Print Technologies (APT). The name change is meant to reflect the organization’s annual Print event, as well as to better align with the association’s mission to drive printing industry growth.

NPES, the Association for Suppliers of Printing, Publishing, and Converting Technologies, has rebranded as the Association for Print Technologies (APT). The name change is meant to reflect the organization’s annual Print event, as well as to better align with the association’s mission to drive printing industry growth.

“Now, as our new name more clearly expresses, our broader scope and direction are focused on greater alignment among the commercial printing and imaging value chain. This ‘next phase’ must happen in order for all stakeholders to benefit,” says Thayer Long, APT president, in a release.

Following the rebrand, APT will be releasing an expanded lineup of programs and services. Additions include:

• The creation of a new community and industry development staff department designed to advance programming that supports businesses throughout the industry value chain, headed by Ken Garner, VP of business development and industry relations, and Julie Shaffer, associate VP of program and community development.
• An expanded Print event, to be held September 30 through October 2, 2018, in Chicago, focusing on business growth opportunities.

A new website, PrintTechnologies.org, is scheduled to launch in the spring, according to the release.
