Santa Ana, CA-based OLEC recently announced its acquisition of the product lines of Dorn SPE, Garden Grove, CA. OLEC manufactures products for graphics arts, flexo, printed circuits, screen printing, and digital imaging. Exposure units, curing systems, registration devices, inkjet technology, and flexo consumables are among the company’s offerings. Dorn has been the North American distributor of Sakurai screen presses from more than 30 years.

Bill Dorn, founder of Dorn SPE, says, “The combination of Dorn’s product technologies with OLEC’s engineering, manufacturing, and distribution will result in a strengthened industry leadership position in roller, screen, flexo, and digital coating systems, as well as press and curing products.”

Dorn SPE personnel and production will relocate to OLEC’s Santa Ana facility. The company resides in a 200,000-sq-ft building. “We are excited about the market grwoth potential that the Dorn SPE personnel and technologies will add to the OLEC family of products,” says Bert Ohlig, president of OLEC.
